Prof. V. Uma Maheswar Profile

Mr. V. Uma Maheshwar is currently an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Dept., University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Osmania University, Hyderabad. He currently holds the unique record of being the longest serving Placement Officer of University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Osmania University, Hyderabad from 2005 onwards till date. He is an alumni of OUCE having obtained his Bachelor & Master Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from OUCE. He joined Teaching profession in 1997 after working for industries and corporate for 5 years. He has been in the academics for 18 years till date. He has five years of industrial experience having worked in several organizations namely Mahindra & Mahindra R&D, Nashik, Renewable Energy Systems Ltd., Hyderabad and HSOP Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad in several functional areas like R&D, Design and Development, Production, Marketing and Quality Management systems.

As Placement and Training Officer of University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Osmania University, Hyderabad, he is well known in Industry and Engineering Colleges. He is the pioneer in initiating an unique Campus Hiring -Day One sharing model called Premium Company Recruitment drive (PCRD) at OUCE from 2009 onwards which was designed to benefit both the recruiting companies as well as students. The same model is being followed by other Engineering Colleges in India later on. He offers Career Guidance to students of Engineering as well as non engineering courses in Osmania University. He has facilitated the recruitment of over 5100 candidates till date through conduct of on campus as well as off campus recruitment drives. He was selected among "Top 10 Professors of AP who made the most impact on Students lives" by "24X7 Customer" Organization through online survey conducted among students of AP and was felicitated by the Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education on 14th October, 2008.

A Research Project on "Development and Testing of Small Wind Turbine Electrical Pump Systems" sponsored by Non Conventional Energy Sources, Govt. of India was undertaken by him during 2000-2001. He Coordinated ISO 9001 Certification of R&D Centre, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. during June 1997 by TUV - Germany and ISO 9001 Certification of University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad during October 2000 by TUV - India, making it the first Engineering College of Andhra Pradesh to get such Certification.

He has also to his credit several International and National Journal and Conference Publications. He has organized three international conferences, one national conference, 32 training workshops for faculty /students till date. His technical areas of interests include Thermal Engineering, Turbomachinery, Renewable Energy Technologies, and Quality Management Systems etc.,

He is the mentor for Student's Voluntary NGO groups at the College Namely Spruha and Youva who helps village schools and supports a home for destitute women/women saved from Human Trafficking. He is a patron for Orphanage at Nacharam in Hyderabad which provides shelter for about 28 orphan children giving free food & clothing apart from financing their educational expenses from schooling to graduation.

Prof. PVSudhakar

An eminent legal scholar with about Three decades of teaching and research experience and has an interesting academic pursuit. Graduated in Commerce from Bangalore University, got his LL.B Degree from the University of Delhi and LL.M degree from Osmania University. He was awarded Ph.D Degree on the study of Union-State relations (a critical study on the Sarkaria Report on the Union State relations) by the Andhra University in the year 1995. He born in a remote village in Vizianagaram District, Andhra Pradesh and received School Education in Telugu medium in a government school at Gajapathinagaram and started his career in Indian Air Force.

He was one of the contributors to the prestigious project on the "Evolution of the Federalism in India", by Dr.Subhash C Kashyap, former Secretary General, Parliament of India.

He was one of the advisers at the deliberations on "Making of a New Constitution for Nepal", at an International Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal, in May 2008 in the distinguished company of Justice J.S.Varma, Chief Justice of India (Retd) and learned senior Supreme Court Advocate and Member of the Law Commission of India, Shri R.Venakataramani. He is the recipient of the Best Teacher Award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Best Researcher Award from the Andhra University in the year 2008.

He was Dean, Head, Principal Dr. B. R. Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam before his elevation as the First Vice-Chancellor of AP University of Law and served in that capacity till November 2011. He has to his credit about 50 publications in the journals of National and International repute and guided Ten Ph.D and about 80 LL.M scholars. He is presently heading the School of Law of GITAM University as the Director, School of Law.

He also contributed his time & efforts for Community Service as a Director, Legal Aid and Legal Literacy Cell, Andhra University; Member, Zilla Sainik Welfare Board; President, Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad, Visakhapatnam.

Prof. P. S Avadhani, distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Systems Engineering, presently Principal of Andhra University College of Engineering (A), Visakhapatnam. He received his Master's degree and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur).

Dr. P. S Avadhani has published about 200 refereed scientific papers. He has supervised the dissertations of more than 20 doctoral students. He was invited by Microsoft Corporation to Malaysia to attend a conference on Dot-Net Technologies in June 2004.Served as member of National Board of Accreditation of AICTE and inspected various Engineering Colleges all over India as a member of NBA. Delivered Invited talks at many National & International Conferences and Chaired many sessions at National and International Conferences at many places in India and abroad. He was also recently invited by Amirkabir University, Tehran, Iran as a Special Guest for its 1st International Conference on New Research Achievements in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

S Avadhani is the recipient of the BEST RESEARCHER AWARD for the year 2005-2006 from Andhra University, BEST ACADEMICIAN AWARD for the year 2009-2010 from Andhra University, DISTINGUISHED ACADEMICIAN AWARD for the year 2011 from Pentagram Research Centre, CHAPTER PATRON AWARD for the year 2011 from Computer Society of India and THE BEST TEACHER AWARD FROM the State Government of Andhra Pradesh for the year 2015 on September 5th, 2015.

Ms. Suchona Swastica Profile

Ms. Suchona Swastica, M.Sc (Nematology), presently works as Horticulture Officer in Government of Odisha at Bhubaneswar and Specializes in Sustainable Agriculture. She did certificate course on GIS applications with emphasis on "Soil Erosion Control" from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun during 1999. She was selected by Government of India as a delegate to visit Japan as an Agriculture professional during 2004. She also did PG Diploma in "Extension Management" from MANAGE, Hyderabad during 2013 and currently pursuing PhD in Plant Pathology at The Veer Vahadur Singh Purbanchal University, Jaunpur, UP.

Ms. Swastica has joined Govt of Odisha in Agriculture Department during December 1995 under Directorate of Soil Conservation. Later she has joined Directorate of Horticulture under Agriculture Department of Govt of Odisha during the year 2000.

During her tenure as Asst Horticulture Officer from 2000 to 2015, she was actively involved in Extension and monitoring of different Central and State Govt schemes, ATMA programmes etc. She has contributed greatly towards establishment of Deras Horticulture Farm at Mendhasal in the outskirt of Bhubaneswar which has been declared as Centre of Excellence by the Govt of India. Under her able supervision 20 hectares of plantation could be made in the Farm with different varieties of fruit saplings during 2007 and 2008 with development of irrigation facility and other infra-structural developments in the Farm.

Under her supervision and monitoring, people of Garia village in district Khurda; a highly water-logged village could able to become economically sustainable through cultivation of Plantain Banana variety Bantal. She has introduced the concept of "Protected Cultivation" in the hilly areas of Nayagarh district through cultivation of high-value vegetables inside shadenet houses. Also she has guided the farmers of Nayagarh district to cover 1000 hectares of fruit area under Organic farming and the idea now has spread to other areas of the district. At present she is associated with Institute of Management and Agricultural Extension, Bhubaneswar.

Citizen Force Board has nominated her as Zonal Head - Women Empowerment - for the States of Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

VVLN. Murthy is a Graduate in Architecture from College of Fine Arts and Architecture from JNT. University, Hyderabad. He worked for some time at J.J.
