A person shall be disqualified for appointment and continuation as councillor of any Executive Council, if he-
Has been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for an offence which, in the opinion of the Board, involves moral turpitude; or
|Is an un-discharged insolvent; or
Is of unsound mind and stands so declared by a competent court; or
Has, in the opinion of the Board, such financial or other interest as is likely to affect prejudicially the discharge by him of his functions as a member; or
|In the opinion of the Board that he has been involved in disturbing feats; or
Hold the office of office bearer of any Trade Union/NPO/Trust/Society or active member of any political party at any time during the past ten years; or
|Completed five years of service as Councillor in any Executive Council unless re-appointed by the Board of Citizen Force.
|Has such other disqualifications as may be prescribed by the Board from time to time:
Rider: The Citizen Force may, at its discretion, relax the disqualification in sub-clause (f) in respect of NPO/Trust/Society on verification of required information with regard to such NPO/Trust/Society to which the applicant belongs.
